Governance Center (GC)

Governance enables various stakeholders to restructure the challenges of modeling unstructured problems and proposing solutions to such problems. The emphasis, therefore, is on governance as an integrated process of decision-making and the process by which decisions are implemented (or not implemented).

The Governance Center operates according to certain values:

- Ethical standards: Accountability, Transparency, Integrity, Impartiality and Motivation.
- Knowledge and Joint Learning as a core vehicle towards excellence.
- Respect for all the efforts exerted by various stakeholders and individuals.
- Practice a culture of trust, fairness, tolerance, and a positive orientation.
 
VISION

To be the Egyptian hub of innovation and application of national and regional governance policies, consultations and competency building programs that interact globally to achieve excellence in public governance management.

OBJECTIVES

- Study and discuss various regional governance issues and concerns.

- Implement innovative, international benchmarked products and processes for education, consultation, research and public governance management development.

- Reinforce the research capabilities, policy framing and consulting capabilities of the center.

- Develop programs/courses for specialists consistent with effective management of governance policies.

- Construct a knowledge base for governance

- Network with counterparts and concerned institutions regionally and globally to generate, acquire, assimilate and exchange know-how. 
 

AREAS OF PRACTICE

- Good governance in the nation’s bodies/institutions (The State, The Private Sector. Civil Society).
- National and regional indicators to measure aspects of good governance.
- Capacities of senior government officials to draw strategies and put plans.
